Web Design Services

My services as a web designer include creating small, non-data driven web sites to fully fledged data-driven web sites. Since a lot of my work is as a technical author, I have gained a lot of experience as to what the majority of end users want in terms of "usability". As a result I produce web sites that are easy to understand and easy to navigate. The glossary within this web site is an example of a simple database, whereas the forum and Property Admin Portal within this web site are examples of a more sophisitcated PHP and MySQL content management database applicactions.

I will happily undertake any web design project. If you require just a few pages to create a simple "Home Page", or if you require a fully fledged data-driven web site, I am always happy to oblige.

Web Technologies Used

I make use of the following:

• PHP and mySQL to develop data-driven (content management) web sites
• DHTML and JavaScript for fancy effects within web sites (e.g. nice looking menus)
• Cascaded Style Sheets (CSS) to maintain a consistent look and feel to the web site

Software Packages Used

I use the following software packages to create web site:

• Dreamweaver - to create and edit templates, and to create the majority of content within a web site.
• Notepad - to create and edit PHP, JavaScript, DHTML and CSS files.

• House and Techno - an upbeat web site which uses streaming MP3 technology.
• Car Alarms 4 You - a small family run car security company.
• On-Line Consultants - a team of technical authors I sometimes do some work for.
